Quality

Quality starts during the design phase of the project.

Alcorn reviews construction documents with the team to ensure that details are constructible and that materials are being selected that will meet the design intent. We meet and talk with subcontractors and present options and alternatives to the design team and owner. We walk the site in order to ensure that site conditions are considered.

Alcorn’s superintendents are widely regarded as the best in the business. Once construction begins, Alcorn superintendents are onsite to review the work to make sure that it meets or exceed the project requirements. We hold pre-installation conferences with subcontractors prior to installation of complex items and make sure that work being done by multiple subcontractors is coordinated before it begins. Alcorn’s superintendents have access to our company database, which includes lessons learned from over 350 years of combined field experience. Our general superintendent spends time on every site, working to identify issues that may arise, and to solve them before they happen.

"Typically, when I visit industrial construction projects, I see issues that are caused by systemic problems with general contractors. However, each time I visited Central Connection, the project looked to be very well maintained, orderly, and clean. To me, this was a sign that Alcorn Construction had a high-quality team managing the project, and that everyone involved was fully engaged and doing their job effectively. This reflects the quality of leadership and management at Alcorn Construction; it was great to work with the entire team."
