Lakewood, March 14, 2022 – Chris Alcorn has been named the recipient of a 2022 Leadership Award by Vistage, the world’s largest CEO coaching and peer advisory organization for small and midsize businesses. The Leadership Award celebrates a member’s enduring excellence in leadership, recognizing the discernible impact they’ve had on their business, Vistage group and community.

Chris Alcorn is the President of Alcorn Construction and a design-build professional with local and national general contractor/developer experience. Chris founded Alcorn Construction in 2008 with his wife, Amy, and since then has built it into a construction company with regional significance in commercial office, light industrial, retail, multi-family and senior living projects in the Denver and Phoenix metro areas. Chris’ resume includes the construction of over 7 million square feet of new, remodel, and tenant finish space, including the award-winning Parc Santa Fe industrial campus, the 50-acre former Samsonite Campus that is now Mile High Industrial Park, the 400,000 sf Harvest Junction power center, and tenant finish projects for tenants such as Kaiser Permanente, Pepsi, Alterra Mountain Company, and CSG International. Before starting his career, Chris earned a Bachelor of Architecture and a Masters of Construction Management, both from Virginia Tech. Chris lives in Lakewood, Colorado with Amy and their four kids and enjoys time with family and playing almost any sport, but especially soccer and off-road triathlon. Chris is most proud of having built Alcorn Construction into a place where great people love to work and, in turn, customers are delighted, an accomplishment reinforced by the company earning a Denver Business Journal Best Place to Work award each year from 2019-2021.

“I am incredibly humbled to win this award,” says Alcorn. “In the six years I’ve been a member of Vistage, I have made countless connections with others that have given me the advice and tools, not only grow personally as a leader, but that have had a positive impact on Alcorn Construction. I look forward to continuing my growth, as well as helping others that are just getting started with Vistage.”

“Chris is simply an outstanding example and role model of an authentic leader who exhibits humility, courage, tenacity, caring, and inspiration for those around him,” says Greg Behm, chair of Alcorn’s Vistage group. “He is solidly grounded on deeply held personal values; seeks to continuously learn, grow in wisdom, and improve who he is and what he does; and strives for excellence and legacy-creating impact in work and life. My admiration for him as a person, husband, father, and business leader grows the longer I have the opportunity to work with him in our Vistage CEO peer advisory group.”
